Kolb, sometimes known as Hutch. \u00a0Hartmuth has had a strong interest in photography, film, and technology since childhood. \u00a0His teenage family vacation movies, from northen Italy, where the family summered at their tiny villa, are a visual delight! \u00a0He made super-eight films and framed every shot right and steady. \u00a0 To relax, he makes <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=SK-p8MUaJwM\" target=\"_blank\">holograms <\/a>at home. \u00a0We had a blast walking into <a href=\"http:\/\/talkinggrid.com\/museum-visits\/first-post\/james-turrell-at-lacma.html\">Turrell<\/a>\u2019s dazzling rooms of pure color, together. \u00a0 We were bathed in light, bright and white, like the tunnel to heaven.<\/p>\n<p>The significance of art as \u201creligion for atheists,\u201d as the celebrated author, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=4z5tlRKr0JM\" target=\"_blank\">Sarah Thorton<\/a>, of the bestseller, \u201cSeven Days in the Art World,\u201d is made clear in the temple models of Turrell&#8217;s famous,<a href=\"http:\/\/vimeo.com\/67926427\" target=\"_blank\"> Roden Crater<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/talkinggrid.com\/dev\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/28129_401637638892_390638_n_med.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"normal alignnone size-medium wp-image-981\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/talkinggrid.com\/dev\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/28129_401637638892_390638_n_med.jpg?resize=225%2C300&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"28129_401637638892_390638_n_med\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/talkinggrid.com\/dev\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/28129_401637638892_390638_n_med.jpg?resize=225%2C300&amp;ssl=1 225w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/talkinggrid.com\/dev\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/28129_401637638892_390638_n_med.jpg?w=427&amp;ssl=1 427w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What an excellent exhibit! \u00a0This time we took in Turrell, Part II, in addition to visiting the first part at a leisurely pace, fully embracing our two-hour time slot.
